On the afternoon of March 7th, the Qingdao CIMC base was filled with warmth and sweetness as a unique DIY baking event unfolded in full swing to celebrate the upcoming International Women's Day. The activity drew enthusiastic participation from numerous female employees, offering them—often busy with work—a joyful platform to unwind and showcase their creativity.
At the event, the professional baking instructor was fully prepared with an array of ingredients neatly arranged. The instructor provided a detailed explanation of baking fundamentals, step-by-step procedures, and key techniques. Soon after, the female employees divided into groups and enthusiastically dove into their creative baking projects. With clear division of tasks, some meticulously measured ingredients, others focused on mixing batter, while a few dedicated themselves to designing elegant cake decorations. Throughout the collaborative process, laughter and cheerful chatter filled the air as colleagues from different departments seized the opportunity to bond—sharing amusing anecdotes from daily life and exchanging professional insights. The atmosphere was one of warmth and camaraderie, radiating the festive spirit of the occasion.
After a flurry of activity, an array of freshly baked creations emerged—each unique in shape and brimming with aroma. There were qingtuan (green rice cakes) stuffed with distinctive fillings, their fragrance wafting through the air; dainty and adorable cupcakes adorned with vibrant sugar pearls; whimsically shaped cookies imprinted with personalized designs; and exquisitely decorated xuemeiniang (snow beauty mochi), showcasing delicate craftsmanship... With their handmade masterpieces in hand, the female employees beamed with pride and satisfaction, eagerly snapping photos to immortalize the joyful moment.
At the close of the event, Feng Chunxia, Chairwoman of the Qingdao CIMC Base Labor Union, remarked: "While some desserts turned out better than others, each one embodies your dedication—just like how you’ve honed your skills step by step in the workplace, growing into your best selves on CIMC’s stage."
